Another Friday, another newsletter – doesn’t time fly!?

 

I found new entry-level vacancies for you once more. While most of them seem to ask for little to no previous experience in the essential person specification bit, I have noticed that some care homes now require previous experience of caring for older people. Don’t let this stop you from applying though, if you haven’t got any yet. You could, for example, ask a care home if they let you have a few days of work experience, or you could volunteer at a local luncheon club etc. 

 

Volunteering in general can give you essential experience for many roles. And who knows, maybe you will keep on volunteering even after you have found a job, simply because it’s so rewarding.
