Derbyshire health and care careers advice drop-in
The Careers Team at Joined Up Care Derbyshire (JUCD) is holding a careers advice drop-in at Zink HQ in Buxton. Visitors can find out how to get into and apply for any health and care career with work coaches on hand to help with applications and ongoing support.
JUCD is the organisation responsible for coordinating health and social care across Derbyshire. Zink runs two NHS funded services including a Neuro Divergent Hub for young people and, in partnership with Derbyshire Mind, a mental health crisis support service. Zink also has work coaches, an advice service, a weekly timetable of wellbeing activities, a community eco-café and manages High Peak Foodbank.
Paul Bohan from Zink said: “We are delighted to be able to facilitate Joined Up Care Derbyshire to promote vacancies. It’s a chance to find out about the variety of jobs available in the health and care and how to go about applying for them.”
As well as patient facing jobs on offer, there are non-clinical roles as diverse as driving, office, catering and domestic staff.
Hazel Jones, Senior Project Officer for Careers at JUCD said: “We are committed to providing opportunities to work in health and social care for local people and run a range of initiatives to encourage this including apprenticeships and pre-employment training. I’m looking forward to coming to Zink HQ in Buxton to meet people interested in health and social care.”
The NHS Careers Advice Drop-in is on 6 December from 10.30am to 12 noon at Zink HQ, Clough Street, Buxton SK17 6LJ (on Market Street Car Park). There’s no need to book. For more information, call Zink on 01298 214926.
