Filling social care vacancies is a big challenge and Joined Up Careers Derbyshire have teamed up with partners to promote a week of web events.

Along with Skills for Care and Indeed, we will be running a bootcamp of bespoke, bitesize webinars designed to encourage employers to re-think how to attract, recruit and retain quality candidates. 

We know that recruitment is time-consuming, resource-heavy and can become rather frustrating if candidates don’t come back after their first shift! We’ve therefore designed a varied programme of sessions, including the sharing of best practice from local social care employers, methods of doing things differently to increase attraction and interest in the vacancies, and tips on how to utilise Indeed to its full potential to secure the best candidates.

Sessions are 30-minutes long, free to attend and are being hosted via Microsoft Teams for convenience.

You can book onto events via Eventbrite. Please note: tickets are for the full week and the same MS Teams link will be used for each webinar, but there’s no obligation to attend all sessions – you’re welcome to dip in and out as you’d like. Webinars will also be recorded and shared after the event.

The week will end on Friday with an invitation to join a Derbyshire-wide social care recruitment hiring event in September (date to be confirmed) – this will be an opportunity for your organisation to promote itself and its vacancies on a large scale to candidates within your local area.

Involvement with the recruitment drive will be completely free of charge to yourselves and is a great opportunity to put some of the learning into practice whilst filling vacancies.
