An article promoting the Joined Up Careers Derbyshire virtual work experience programme has been published in the summer edition of Decisionz e-zine – a digital magazine supporting young people to make informed career choices - see: http://magazine.decisionz.co.uk/books/sodp (page 16).
The virtual work experience programme, now known as Future Talent, Future Heroes, offers a widely accessible, interactive and engaging alternative to physical work experience within health and social care. The first programme, launching in May 2021, will raise awareness of nursing, allied health professions and social care roles through interactive content, live Q&A sessions with workforce champions and thought-provoking project assignments. There has been a huge interest in the programme, with 360 applications received to date.
Students will come away from the programme with a better understanding of the variety of opportunities available within health and social care, whilst also gaining some invaluable experience to inform their future career decisions and add onto their CV.
