Recruitment opens today for the first Step Into Work programme in Derbyshire.

Step Into Work is delivered by the Joined Up Careers Derbyshire team to support individuals who are interested in a career in health and social care.

A six-week training programme starts on 31 August 2020, providing individuals with the essential skills and knowledge for their employment role.

No prior qualifications or experience are required but applicants must be aged 19-plus, unemployed and in receipt of benefits.

The first programme will run in Chesterfield, Ashbourne and Derby City. Opportunities in employment and work experience with the NHS and in social care will be available in these places to candidates who successfully complete the training.

All the courses will be delivered through online e-learning and assessment with dedicated tutor support on hand throughout.

For more details, or to apply for the programme, please contact your local Jobcentre Plus or Brian Grant, Step Into Work Project Manager, email brian.grant@nhs.net.
