Senior Project Manager

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and driven Senior Project Manager to lead the contingent workforce programme across the Derby and Derbyshire health and social care system for an immediate start.

Joined Up Careers has set up a system redeployment hub in response to the Covid-19 pandemic to co-ordinate appropriate resources, including registered professionals, medical students and volunteers to bolster the health and social care workforce by filling critical gaps. The team is a single point of contact for all parties to ensure issues are escalated, and national messages including guidance, resources are cascaded down and actioned in a timely fashion.

The role would suit someone with a good background in project delivery, with a keen focus on operations management and employee resourcing. The ideal candidate will need to quickly form effective working relationships, and be educated to degree level (or equivalent), with project management experience of working in health, local authority or a related field.

Key attributes and experience required include:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A background in employee resourcing
  • A track record of delivery
  • Skilled in data analysis to enable options evaluation and decision-making
  • Experience of delivering small projects to very tight deadlines, strengths in planning, governance and change management
  • Experience of responsive and timely issues management
  • Experience of risk management, supporting mitigation plans and managing associated actions
  • Strong excel skills, and experience of other data analysis tools
  • Experience of managing relationships with senior and executive level stakeholders

The successful candidate will be a part of the Joined up Careers Team, hosted by Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, and work collaboratively with NHS partners in Derbyshire and specifically with the Derbyshire Community Health Services as the lead employer for the contingent workforce.
