Our first integrated health and care apprentices programme has now concluded, with many successful apprentices completing the scheme and going on to secure employment within the health and care sector. We would like to thank all who took part on the scheme and all who supported it. An independent evaluation report of the scheme has been produced by external company Cordis Bright.

We are now looking to establish a second scheme of 14 level two rotational health and care apprentices, building on the lessons learnt from the first cohort. We anticipate that these apprentices will be employed by Derbyshire Community Health Services (DCHS) and will complete placements with DCHS, Chesterfield Royal Hospital, Derbyshire Healthcare, University Hospitals of Derby and Burton and Derbyshire County Council, alongside opportunities for placements within the primary care and the private, voluntary and independent sector.
