'We are returning nurses' campaign is the latest phase of the We are the NHS campaign. The campaign aims to encourage more nurses to return to practice.
There are a large number of resources available on the Health Education England website for nurses, midwives and allied health professionals who may be considering a return to practice.
The NHS in Derby and Derbyshire is encouraging healthcare professionals who have had a break in their career to return to practice.
The health service wants to see nurses, midwives and allied health professionals come back to their health and social care careers – and is offering free university course places and a bursary of at least £500 to help with costs such as travel, childcare and books, with a potential support package of up to £3,000 to cover the duration of the course.
NHS staff touch the lives of more than one million people who live in Derby and Derbyshire, caring for each and every one of them with care and compassion when it matters most. There are vacancies waiting for returnees in both health and social care roles in Derby and Derbyshire.
